I Joined the level 3 AET tutor course and found it new and exciting. The course was straight forwards and I got all the support I needed. I wanted to fast track the course, and they accommodated me and I was offered a role as an IT trainee tutor.

A traineeship is a skills development program that includes a work placement. It can last from 6 weeks up to 1 year, though most traineeships last for less than 6 months.

A procurement opportunity is being launched for providers to access additional funding to deliver 19-24 traineeships.

Further information can be found in the traineeship news story

Guidance and systems such as find a traineeship and the traineeship provider list will continue to be updated.

These will be reviewed during September as the reformed and expanded program launches and ongoing as traineeships are delivered.

Links to all updated guidance will soon be made available on this page.

Young Apprenticeships

The world is changing fast and to get ahead you need up to date skills. But you don’t need to sit in a classroom all day to get them – there are other ways of learning that could suit you.

An Apprenticeship is a real job with training so you can earn while you learn and get recognised qualifications as you go.

After finishing, the majority of apprentices will stay in employment, with two-thirds staying with the same employer. Employers think that qualified apprentices are 35% more employable than those with other qualifications.

If you live in England, are aged 16 – 23 and you are not in full-time education, contact us to find out what apprenticeship opportunities are available in your area.

Adult Apprenticeships
Adult apprenticeships have been designed for those who are 19+, are already in employment, and who want to progress in their chosen occupation.

We offer a wide range of work-based apprenticeships, including higher apprenticeships developed by employers for employers, to help businesses grow the leaders of the future.

Thousands of adults gain the skills and qualifications they need to climb the career ladder and improve their potential with an adult apprenticeship.

Excellent reputation for delivering high-quality apprenticeships across a variety of sectors.

We pride ourselves on our excellent success rates and the work we do with learners in the industry.

We support a variety of career paths by introducing new apprenticeships to meet increasing demand from businesses.

In order to begin an apprenticeship, you must be employed. On the job, you’ll work as an employee, alongside experienced staff members.

Off the job, you’ll learn with the assessor through a combination of learning methods that may include; online assessments and training in your workplace.

Each apprenticeship involves a structured program of training leading to a recognised qualification, and they are available at different levels, letting you choose the speed you wish to learn.

All of our apprenticeships are work-based training programs, so most of the training is ‘on the job’ – at your premises.

Wide range of apprenticeships in the following sectors:

  • Service Sector
  • Hospitality Sector
  • Health Sector
  • Transportation Sector
  • Security Sector
  • Business Sector
  • Retail Sector
  • Warehousing Sector

  • Advanced apprenticeship (Level 3), equivalent to two A levels
  • Higher apprenticeship (Level 4 & 5), equivalent to a Higher National Certificate.

An apprenticeship is made up of the following components:

  • A knowledge-based element (Technical Certificate)
  • A competence-based element (NVQ)
  • Transferable or Functional Skills (i.e. English, Maths, ICT)
  • An overview of Employment Rights and Responsibilities
